TwitterMoms asked bloggers to share their favorite recipes using canned foods, and since I just made Tator Tot Casserole for supper last night, that was the first recipe that popped into my head.
Tator Tot Casserole
Mix together:
1 lb browned ground beef
2 cans greens beans drained
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Atop with:
Tator Tots (also called Gems)
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Easy peasy, huh? Yeah, that’s how I roll cook. My girls love it. My son hates it. Can’t please ‘em all.
And after watching the above video, I don’t feel so guilty about eating canned foods. In fact, I’m going to make more chili after learning that beans are fat-free and an excellent source of fiber. Did you know people who regularly eat beans weigh approximately seven pounds less than those who do not! Take that “fresh or frozen only” people.
