If you follow me on Twitter or are my friend on Facebook (or have just noticed the lack of updates here), you’ll know that I’ve MIA for a few days. I posted an update of house happenings. And now I am currently recovering at home after having a total hysterectomy to remove a uterian fibroid tumor. The nurses call hysterectomy patients “hysters” – the term kind of reminds me of ”spinsters” – let’s hope the similarity stops there!
I’ve been sneaking out of bed and into the computer room to check emails (and write this quick update), and usually get away with it until my mother stops over or calls to check on me and ends up scolding me for not resting!

FREE Tivo Cookie Cutter (unavailable now, sorry) I never got around to making cut-out sugar cookies when I made Christmas candy and cookies this year, but I need to make cookies for our school’s snack day sale this week. Looks like we’ll be making TiVo cookies!

I was hoping to get the book My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult read before the My Sister’s Keeper movie is released this Friday to compare the book to the movie (I love Cameron Diaz). But I’ll probably wait and watch the movie when it comes out on DVD to Redbox. Don’t forget that you can rent free Redbox movies with free Redbox codes!
