Market Leverage sent me a SpaFinder.com giftcertificate (along with tons of other goodies). SpaFinder.com offers gift certificates that are accepted at over 4000 participating spas worldwide and can be redeemed for spa treatments, vacations experiences, spa products and more. So, I chose Garbo’s Salon and Spa at Regency Court in Omaha for “my day” yesterday (thus you probably noticed the lack of updates to the site).
I had never had a professional massage, so that was my first priority. I had a half-hour Swedish massage and wish I would have opted for the full hour as the time flew by. But I’m an impatient person and was afraid an hour would be too long (I get impatient laying 10 minutes in a tanning bed).
The masseuse, Sharon, told me I was very tense and asked if I sit at the computer all day long? Yep, she nailed that one. She told me I may be sore the next day (today) since it was my first massage, but I’m not yet (yet, being the keyword). But I am extremely exhausted.
Next up, I debated between a manicure and pedicure or a new hairstyle. I opted for a new cut/style with highlights and lowlights put in. My hair is even shorter than when I dontated to Lock of Love last year leaving it long in the front and stacked at an angle in the back. I need to experiment with it before taking any pictures to share.
The stylist, Michelle (petite gal that shops at Delias) asked me what kind of products I use, and I didn’t want to say “whatever I can get free/cheap”, so I knew I currently had Pantene (from a Target deal) and told her that. She said Pantene is the worst brand to use as it leaves a waxy build-up! She said Suave Professionals (which I normally use) is way better. Of course, she recommended salon products, but if I want to buy non-salon products, that Tresemme would be my best bet.
All in the all, the spa experience is one I’d do again in a heartbeat! So if anyone needs any ideas for presents for me (hint, hint) or anyone else for that matter, check out SpaFinder.com!
