Good People Day

Gary Vaynerchuck from Wine Library TV has founded today as Good People Day where everyone should give a shout out about people that are awesome and good!  I have many good people in my life, and I’m dedicating this post to all my dear faithful visitors of ShoppingBookmarks.com – it’s your kind words of support and contributions that have inspired me to run this website for the last eight years, and I thank you.  So, if you are reading this right now, I’m talking to you!  You are Good People!

I got to meet another genuine good person yesterday, Suze Orman herself!  Remember when I signed up for Suze’s Save Yourself Plan?  Well, because of that, Ameritrade called and offered me free tickets to see Suze speak at the 2008 Women’s Leadership Conference!  So, my mother and I ventured to Omaha and actually got hugs from Suze!  Afterwards we met my brother for supper (I love Old Chicago pizza – especially at Happy Hour prices!) and did a bit of shopping at Village Pointe mall, and you can believe I did not buy anything?  Not even at DSW (shoes), although I did eye a handbag at the Coach store, but it was way out of my price range. Women & Mike Tour

My brother, Mike, works for iGroupStudios who manages Suze Orman’s website, so he has got the privilege of meeting Suze a few times. He has even got me an autographed copy of Suze’s newest book, Women & Money.
