Pamida Double Coupon Event

Posted by kim on March 10, 2010

Pamida (find list of stores here) is having a double coupon event this week through March 12th, 2010.  They will double all manufacturer’s coupons up to and including $1.00. I didn’t know Pamida ever doubled coupons, and I just happen to be traveling to West Point (Nebraska) today so brought along my coupon box to check it out!

I ended up spending more time drooling over the clearance items throughout the store!   I found so many items marked down that I would have liked to buy, but resisted because my boyfriend always reminds me that I need to stop buying things that I don’t need just because they are cheap! Otherwise, I would have stocked up on the cheap long johns, throw blankets and bathroom accessories.

Although I couldn’t resist the heated mattress pad on clearance for $24.99. My boyfriend gave me one for Christmas (and paid three times as much), and I love it!  I actually found another one on clearance at ShopKo a few weeks ago for $29.99 that I got for my daughter.  So this will go to another daughter.  Now I need one more.

Sorry, I’m rambling again.  Back to double coupons….

I have to admit that I only ended up using six coupons as their prices were quite high on non-sale items, so even after doubling my coupon, it wasn’t a real good deal. But here’s what I got…

(2) Airwick Aqua Essences on clearance for $1.50 – $1 c/o doubled = FREE

Orbit Gum 3-pk on clearance for $2.46 (yes, it’s regularly over $3 there) – $1 c/o doubled = 46¢ (they also had Extra Fruit Sensations 3-pk on clearance for $1)

Lysol Disinfectant $4.29 on sale – $1 c/o doubled = $2.29 (not a bad price for something I needed)

Always Maxi Pads on clearance for $3 – $1 c/o doubled = $1 (three daughters, remember?)

Pringles Cans $1.50 each on sale x 4 – $1/4 c/o doubled = $1 each

They did accept internet coupons as well. Plus the store was clean and the cashier exceptionally friendly. All pluses.

I signed up to receive special offers and promotions at Pamida.com as the next time I travel to Sioux City (there is a Pamida in Wayne) or travel to Omaha (Pamida in West Point), I may need to make a pit stop there!
