I got all of the above stuff (over $100 value) for under $20 after coupons, rebates and Register Rewards!  Here’s how…

Walgreens

Rumor has it Walgreens is discontinuing their EasySaver Rebate program. Not sure if it’s true, but there is no Rebate booklet available for May.  Instead they seem to be offering more Register Rewards (RR) that are like instant rebates you can use on your next purchase. Just be sure to use them before they expire!

Got2B HairCare 2/$10 – $2 off Coupons – $5 RR = 50¢ each

Esencia Haircare Buy 1 for $7.99, Get 1 50% off for $3.99 - $1 off Coupons – Hangtag Mail-in Rebate valid for $7.99 off Shampoo/Conditioner & $3 off Styling Product = FREE + Profit

Nivea Body Wash $4.99 – $1 off Coupon – $5 RR = FREE + Profit

Pepsi Products 3/$11 – $3 RR = 3/$8 (I’m trying to cut back to one Diet Dew per day, so theoretically this should last me over a month)

Rembrandt Toothpaste or Mouthwash $5.99 – $6 RR = FREE

Revlon Colorsilk Hair Color $1.99 with In-Ad Coupon – $1off 2 SS Coupon = $1.49 each
(You can combine In-Ad Coupons with Manufacturer Coupons, SS = Sunday Supplement)

Reynolds Wrap 89¢ with In-Ad Coupon – 55¢ off SS Coupon = 34¢

Tresemme Hair Care 2/$7 – $1 off Coupons – $2 RR = $1.50 each (my Garbo’s stylist told me this was the best OTC haircare product)

Plus I found tons of feminine supplies on Clearance!
Walgreens Brand Tampons 10 count - 50¢
Walgreens Brand Tampons 36 count - $1.79 (under 5¢ each)
Walgreens Brand Pantiliners 92 count – $1.39
Kotex Lightdays Pantiliners 135 count (regularly $6.99) – $1.79 – $2/2 Coupon = 79¢ each
I may go back for more and stock up for my three daughters (and my sister who raids my HBA Closet)!

This & That

Did you notice my PEPSI sweatshirt?  I got that free a couple of years ago with Pepsi Stuff points, and it’s still one of my favorite.

While out and about I stopped to tan at Boss Tanning.  They offer $1 tans on Wednesdays.  I know it’s not Paint It Black 50X Extreme Silicone Auto Darkening Tanning Lotion only $15.95! Reg $99.99Wednesday, I’m just sayin’ for future reference.  And I know tanning is bad for you, causes skin cancer, blah blah blah, my mother already lectures me.  Anyway, if you tan, I have found it way cheaper to order tanning bed lotions online than from the salons.  I have found the best prices at Amazon.com (My Pick is Paint It Black 50X Extreme Silicone Auto Darkening Tanning Lotion 13.5 oz only $15.95 w/Free Super Saver Shipping! Regularly $99.99) and DollarDays.com (wholesale prices as low as 97¢ a bottle).

O’Henry Bars Recipe
4 cups Oatmeal
1 stick Margarine
1/2 cup White Syrup
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
Mix above. Pat in 9×13 pan. Bake 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
Melt together:
1 cup Chocolate Chips
3/4 cup Peanut Butter
Spread over bottom layer and Enjoy.

    They still make Mr. Pibb?

Yep, except it’s called Pibb Xtra now. I still call it Mr. Pibb. The kids prefer Dr. Pepper, but will settle for this. I wish they’d drink Dr. Thunder (Wal-mart’s version), but they refuse to.

Hi, Kim. You amaze me! I’m going to Walgreens to check out the great sale on Pepsi products. Thanks for telling me about it. I’ve used cornflakes or Rice Krispies in my O’Henry Bars, but never thought of using oatmeal. Sounds delicious!

Julie, don’t you remember eating O’Henry Bars in school? That is actually the school’s recipe! I used to trade my main course for an extra O’Henry Bar! Now they offer them ala carte, and my children order way too many of them!

Man you did good! We don’t have any Walgreen’s in Alaska, in fact we don’t have any of the chain drugstores at all. We have a new Target now, Kohl’s is coming, I can’t complain, but you always seem to have good drugstore deals. I do stuff like that at my local Safeway, they had iced tea in the individual “sticks” that come in boxes which I drink a lot of, BOGO, then if you spent at least $30.00 on a variety of stuff including the iced tea, you get a register coupon good for $10.00 off any future shopping order. I’ve done that twice so far this week, am stocking up for the summer on this iced tea. It has extra vitamins & stuff added, plus it tastes great, so I am growing a cupboard full. It helps me ingest extra water to drink that tea. I always carry water bottles of tea whereever I go so I don’t have to buy drinks.
Thanks for your inspiration in good shopping!
