I haven’t been on any shopping sprees lately, as I’ve been away at a conference in Vegas.  The best part was I did not lose my luggage this trip (I did three times previously in the last year), but a wheel was broken off my suitcase during transit! Guess I’ll be shopping for some new luggage. I’m also going to invest in a travel luggage scale to weigh my swag.
Then I came home to sick children! I’m praying I don’t come down with the flu bug next, as it’s really been sweeping the country. Some offline shopping news…

A Settlement has been proposed in a class action lawsuit that alleges that Airborne falsely advertised certain therapeutic properties that included the ability to cure or prevent the common cold. If you have purchased Airborne, you can submit a claim for a refund. Read for more info. I personally have never bought or taken Airborne, but a friend of mine did, and when I asked his opinion on the product, he responded, “I didn’t notice any difference, other than I paid $7 for what I thought was nothing more than Alka Seltzer.”

Ok, I’m off to take my daughter to the dentist (one of her cavity fillings fell out). And tomorrow we’ll be cheering on our local high school boys’ basketball team as they play in the state tournament. We won the state football championship title earlier this school year, so it would be awesome to win the basketball state title as well. Go Pierce Bluejays!

I always enjoy your posts. I think that things like Airborne enjoy the “sugarpill” effect. Some people swear by it & things like it, like zinc lozenges to shorten a cold, (which I’ve tried), while others notice no difference. My humble opinion is that it’s pretty much what you believe it’s going to do for you. I’ve known people who take Airborne prior to or after a plane flight as a precaution & swear by it, while others consider it, as your friend said, “expensive Alka Seltzer”. I have a sample of Airborne in the cupboard but haven’t tried it yet. Sounds like they claimed a bit too much!
