Hello. You’ve Reached Kim and the Kids….

Now that I’m in my new house which is considerably bigger than my last house, I’ve missed several phone calls because I can’t get to the phone in time. So, I figured it was time to invest in some more phones.

So, I go to Amazon.com (one of my favorite online stores) and do some research. I wanted a speaker-phone, as I like to check my voice messages that way. Plus I wanted an extra handset that doesn’t require a phone jack. After reading several good reviews, I decided on the Uniden TRU9485-2 Expandable Cordless System with Digital Answering System, Dual Keypad, Call Waiting/Caller ID and Extra Handset and Charger for $79.99 w/Free Shipping. (Online price is now $89.99)

I received it in 2 days, and love it. Absolutely love it. I can even buy up to 10 more handsets to use with it (and I plan to buy a few). But my love for Amazon has lost a belt notch.

See, I was flipping through my sales ads in the newspaper, and noticed that OfficeMax has that exact same phone on sale this week for only $59.99! Thinking Amazon would price match, since they are good at offering rebates on items that dropped in price on their site, I immediately emailed Amazon’s customer service.

And they responded quickly. But other company’s sales ads are out of their control. Boo hoo. So, I contemplated packing up the whole system and returning it to Amazon for a refund, and then going to Office Max to buy a new one, but I figured the hassle wasn’t worth $20.

But did I mention I do love the phone system?!
