75 Days Until Christmas!

I like to get a head start on my Christmas shopping. My mom’s side of the family draws names every year. Everyone lists their likes and wants on a piece of paper, and I am in charge of drawing and distributing the names (ie making sure I don’t get my own kids’ names, etc).

I have to admit I do “rig” the drawings a bit. I read the people’s lists, and shop in my free room to see if I have what they want, and if so, I take that name! Considering I have the most people to buy for out of any of the families, I’ll give them a sob story if I get caught.

I don’t think anyone will complain, as I tend to give “good” gifts. Our spending limit is around $20 per person, but being the bargain shopper / stockpiler that I am, I may spend only $10, but give them gifts valued at $50 or more.

My Aunt Connie asked for Tupperware, and we all know what good deals Tupperware has had in the last year! I wish someone would ask for a coffee maker, as I still have a nice one I got free from Gevalia, and I don’t drink coffee!

This year, I plan to make up a bunch of Health and Beauty Aid Baskets to help clear out my stockpile. Not only will they make great teacher’s gifts, but I thought we could play a game at our Christmas gathering, such as Bingo, and use them as prizes.

Ah, the joys of Christmas coming up on us…
