New Wheels to Take a Spin

I think my kids are more excited than I am about the new vehicle we got today. I went with the Pontiac Montana SV6. I picked the “Stealth Gray Metallic” color, but I think it looks blue. It looks like an SUV from the front, and a van from the back. This originally was my first pick, but also the most expensive. So, when they came out with the “Pontiac Employee Discount for Everyone Event” it lowered the price considerably, so I figured that was my sign to purchase it!

After the dealership told me what the payments would be, the salesman said that I may be able to get a lower interest rate from somewhere else. So, my mom (also my insurance agent) suggested checking out AAA.com (my insurance carrier) and that they offer auto loans. I was able to save a whole percentage of interest on my loan, thus a way cheaper payment! I was so excited.

Did you know that if you are a Triple A member, you can get all kinds of other discounts, too? At Payless Shoe Source, I showed my card and was able to save an additional 10% off my purchase, even combined with the sale prices and BOGO prices! I plan to check out their website for more benefits, as my mom said I should be able to a get discount on prescription medicines, too!

But before I do that, I want to “play” with my new vehicle. I need to figure out how to program my built in garage door openers, and the kids are searching for batteries for the wireless headphones for the DVD player. Can you believe with the On-Star system, the van has it’s own phone number?! I clicked the button and within seconds, a real human says, “Ms. Rowley, how can I help you?” I could get directions, phone numbers looked up, weather, etc. Wow to technology.
